The Holiday apartment sleeps four persons and is fully equipped for self catering. A lock-up garage is  available if required at no extra cost.

The village of Availles Limouzine is situated in the Poitou-Charantes region of France at the south eastern end of the Vienne department.Availles is nicely placed between the Airports of Poitiers and Limoges each being one hour drive away.

   

The Vienne valley with the beautiful river flowing through it is part of the Vallee de Tourism which is famous  for its’ country walks. Over the bridge from the apartment there is a recreation park with swimming, boat hire, a childrens playground, a swimming pool for twelve year-olds and under and also crazy golf.

Fishing the river is allowed for people with a holiday fishing permit which is available from The Office de Tourism across the road from the apartment. The river plays host to International and National competitions each year and yields good catches.

For the more adventurous people, racing car lessons and racecar hire is obtainable at the Motor Racing    Track just seven kilometres distance. Another option is to try your hand at Horse-riding at the local schools where they also do pony trekking in the Vallee.

Availles is ideally located for visitors to explore the nearby towns, restaurants, lakes and Chateaux. The    village of Oradour sur Glane which stands as a monument to those who were massacred by the Gestapo in World War 11 is only a short drive away. It remains untouched and a new village has been built again next door. The original village was burnt to the ground to dispose of  the bodies of the villagers and school children who were massacred.
